This pattern is for a classic pull-on pair of pants (trousers or shorts) with elastic waist, false fly, and several pocket options. It is available as a downloadable PDF in sizes 2XS (67cm waist) - 4XL (109cm waist). The pattern is suitable for light to medium weight fabrics.
I made the XL size shorts and found the fit was true to size. The elastic waist is not overfull, so the pants have a neat fit, without being too baggy. I used a light-medium weight linen.
The pattern instructions were generally clear and well illustrated, although I did get a little muddled with the front pocket bags - could have had some more matching points marked on the pattern! The pattern also had no allowance for the leg taper at the hem line - I missed noticing that when I was cutting out I needed to have narrow hems instead of the allowed 4cm. The seam allowances are only 1cm, so I’d probably make them wider next time so I can use flat fell seams, but that is purely my own preference.
Overall I really enjoyed making these shorts, and Rod enjoys wearing them. Nice fit, with some lovely design points means I have already adjusted my pattern and have some more pairs cut out ready for sewing!
